#9 – The Issue of Chelation —

Chelation, as you are probably aware, is the process of “clawing” or chelating substances that are either bound to another substance that is subsequently used by the cells in the body or eliminated from the body.

Chelation, as a process, it not always selective.

Take, for example, the very potent anti-microbial, anti-bacterial Oil of Oregano.

Oil of Oregano is very useful when it comes to killing bacteria in the intestine that cause diarrhea.

HOWEVER, it is also very good at killing other bacteria in the intestine as well.

It is not selective when it comes to its’ job.

It kills bacteria and it does it very well.

It doesn’t distinguish the “good” bacteria from the “bad”.

It just gets rid of them all.

Well, in a manner of speaking, the chelation that takes place with Curcumin/Turmeric and many of the other iron chelators that I’ve presented to you, is that they will chelate both the mineral (in this case, iron) that you want to rid yourself of AS WELL AS beneficial minerals that you should be keeping.

So, as you can see, you’re running a fine line when it comes to chelating iron, because calcium also winds up being chelated, too.

Chelation is not always selective.

Chelation doesn’t discriminate based on your need.

It just does its’ job and leaves the task of supplementing to make up for the ensuing deficiencies up to you.

But, I’ve got something that’s going to address that very issue in the next article…
