BONE BROTH: A VIRTUAL “NUTRITION GOLDMINE”

As you can probably guess, this post expounds the virtues of bone broth for our body.

And OH, how I sing the praises of Bone Broth !!

Through an experience of prolonged illness, I was able to realize just how valuable a commodity bone broth is for the body as well as how unknown a nutritional goldmine it is to most people.

As I explain in my upcoming book on bone broth and other incredibly amazing health “secrets”, BONE BROTH came through for me at a critical time of prolonged and troublesome illness.

(OMG the topic is so timely and HOT!! for everyone wanting to lose weight that once you find out about these SECRETS, they will revolutionize how you approach dieting and detoxing forever after…so SIGN UP NOW for my RELEASE NOTIFICATION LIST!!)

It’s important to realize though, as I explain in my book, that not just any bone broth will do.

Bone Broths – Not All Created Equal

Studies have been done on bone broths that show them to be a poor source of minerals and nutrients.

And indeed they are.

What ??

Now I know that you weren’t expecting to hear me say that.

But it’s true.

When you check the typical recipes and instructions for making Bone Broth, especially . . .

. . . yes, E S P E C I A L L Y the old recipes for commercially-made bone broth, not to mention many of the newer ones . . .

. . . (sorry, I wasn’t able to find any preservative-free commercial bone broth recipes from the popular brands, that is to say, what ingredients, quantities and simmering times exactly various companies use to make their commercially-available bone broths —- proprietary recipes, no doubt, that they don’t want to disclose) . . .

. . . so there’s good reason for why they’re such poor sources of minerals and nutrients.

(I give a full critique in my book on the shortcomings of one old commercial recipe and the test results on its’ final product/broth.)

To the unexperienced and uninformed cook and researcher, that old commercial recipe/broth and

>>> many others whose recipes – totaling over 25.5 million by my most recent Google search (04.08.2019)

and

>>> YouTube videos – approx. 248,000 of them

can be seen on the web, and while many of them are valid (I’m sure), just as many of them are NOT much more than slightly mineralized golden-colored water and ALL OF THEM —- yes, even the poor ones —- claiming to be super nutritious for YOU.

Moreover, any more recent research that’s been conducted has usually been done on these “thin” versions with their poor results being generalized across ALL bone broths. (See the caveat #1 below.)

It’s no wonder, then, that bone broth, in some circles, is getting a very bad rap.

So, YES, bone broth made according to certain recipes will indeed yield a minerally poor broth, and that includes broths that have been fortified, in the simmering process, with vegetables.

In such instances, the mineral content of the bone broth was attributed to the added vegetables and not to the bones themselves.

That’s why you have to be very careful and discerning about where you get your information and where others source their information.

So, to reiterate . . .

YES, bone broth can be nutrient and minerally poor WHEN it is not made properly.

HOWEVER, I myself make, and teach others how to make, an incredibly nutrient-rich bone broth.

I painstakingly show, through the photos that I present in my book, the difference between the type of bone broth that researchers have typically tested versus the type of bone broth that I personally make.

When you see the difference, you are clearly able to identify the characteristics that make for a nutrient and minerally poor broth VERSUS those that make for a minerally and nutritiously rich one.

Now, I’d love to be able to share some of my bone broth with you, but I’m just not set up for that at this point.

I even plan to video how I make my super nutrient-dense bone broth so that you can make your own, too, and when I do, you’ll receive a notification (as long as you sign up on the right).

BUT IN THE MEANTIME . . .

I want you to be able to get your hands on some really great quality bone broth, bone broth that I trust enough to have as my backup for when I can’t make some of my own.

BECAUSE bone broth is such an important part of my life now that I don’t go a day without it, that’s how much of a difference it makes AND has made for my health and therefore, my life.

So for my trusted go-to alternative to my own homemade bone broth, CLICK HERE NOW. I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I do.

But my purpose in this post is to share with you some interesting information about the nutritious goldmine that I have found and believe bone broth to be, as well as some seldomly discussed or little known secrets about it.

Arguably, this post will be based mainly on anecdotal accounts, namely my own personal experiences and insights from drinking bone broth (mainly my own homemade broth and when necessary, my commercially-sourced alternative whose link you find above), and these may go counter to some current and past research findings. This information is provided to help you gain a better understanding, based on my knowledge and experience, of why certain things are happening in your body subsequent to your own eating or drinking of this food product.

And wherever I can, you will find references to scientifically-supported research.

(For a more complete discussion on Bone Broth, please see the chapter by this same name in my soon-to-be-released eBook. (You can SIGN UP for notification of its’ release at this link. It will revolutionize how you approach weight loss and your health forever after. SIGN UP HERE)

So, let’s get started . . .

Caveat #1: Although the data appears to show low nutritional value, the following caveat was been added, that nutritional value varies greatly with regard to bone broths based on several factors including the types of bones used, the length of simmering time, whether or not vegetables were added during the simmering process, and so forth.

Made with high quality, organic ingredients, this bone broth is slow cooked and simmered to draw out as many minerals as possible.

What I also really like about this broth is that it’s sold in an affordable and shelf-stable format, PRESERVATIVE-FREE no less.

Okay, now that’s a huge PLUS, don’t you agree ??

BUT, if you’re following my protocols, and seriously interested in fortifying your health, then this bone broth won’t be sitting for very long in your pantry at all.

As I suggest, you’ll be drinking this often throughout your week.

DELICIOUS FLAVORS JUST 1 CLICK AWAY

In fact, for optimal replenishing benefits, you’ll want to be drinking as much as 3 to 4 cups of broth per day, for several months (at least initially), and in the manners that I suggest (with certain specific added spices for balance, enhanced flavor, and for increased mineral absorption), whether as replacements for other non-essential beverages (such as coffee, cocoa or sodas) or in addition to other nourishing beverages that I suggest.

As such, the provided link will take you to my favorite high quality externally sourced Bone Broth—-great, really great bone broth for when you’re unable or unwilling to make your own, or to “fill the gap” between your own homemade batches.

And if the above reasons that I’ve mentioned aren’t enough to convince you of the quality of this product, let me add that I’ve found this brand of broth to be comparable to my own homemade broth in another important way.

And that is in its’ content of COLLAGEN.

The bone broth from Kettle & Fire contains a considerable amount of COLLAGEN which is necessary for the elasticity, repair and health of our own tissues, tendons, joints and skin. This collagen can be noticed when any leftover broth is cooled in the fridge after heating—-you’ll notice that it gels.

Other nutrients that are components of collagen are glucosamine and chondroitin which contribute greatly to the health of our joints, as well as the amino acids arginine, glycine, glutamine, and proline.

And, though admittedly not as rich as homemade, especially when done the way that I do it (watch for an upcoming video), this broth still supplies a modest serving of minerals, vitamins and other nutrients that will further add to the total you’re getting from all of the FILL-GAP sources combined.

Now, in addition to the regular flavors of beef and chicken, Kettle & Fire offers additional flavors of broth for us.

A FLAVOR-FILLED SUGGESTION FOR YOU

If you’re interested in getting a more flavorful, fuller-tasting broth, try combining the more strongly flavored beef broth with the milder chicken broth. The combined broths will make for a much more satisfying soup or gravy base, or better yet, a wonderful sipping beverage.

This is actually my preference—-to blend the beef and chicken broths—- whether I choose to buy my bone broth from this source or make my own with a blend of both beef and chicken bones.

Now, in addition to the basic beef and chicken broths, Kettle & Fire offers Miso Soup made with Chicken Broth.

STILL MORE FLAVORS FOR YOU

If you are able to tolerate a slightly stronger tasting broth, and more specifically the probiotic nutrients inherent to naturally-fermented miso (consult with me about the signs that let you know whether this type of soup is too intense for your body’s current needs or not), then the Miso Soup will make for an excellent addition to your health-replenishing regimen.

So, in addition to the Beef and Chicken Bone Broths, consider adding Miso Soup twice weekly to your broth drinking routine. It will provide your gut with beneficial probiotics that will:

  •  aid in overall digestion,
  • help increase immunity and
  • help to counteract the overgrowth of harmful bacteria.
